With its animated stance, tapered legs and clever joinery, the traditional Central European Brettstuhl has always been calling out to me as a inspiring jumping off point to design a timeless dining chair. I increased comfort by replacing the straight back board with a wide slat that leaves room for the sitter´s natural curves and rejuvenated the design with a more athletic stance.
